Taking up the role of community leader presents a delicate balancing act, and every community leader struggles to balance leadership, impact, and self-care from time to time. Too often community leaders get caught up in the busyness of the work and lose sight of the “why” behind the cause.

In a past workshop we held, an executive director asked us, “How do I move from merely making a difference to truly having an impact in people’s lives? How do we have the greatest impact possible?” This interactive and engaging workshop takes up that question and seeks to guide community leaders in learning to effectively balance being a strong, impactful leader with recognizing the importance self-care. We will learn some mindfulness practices, and engage in some meditation and tai chi.

This interactive and engaging workshop is especially designed for executive directors, program managers, social entrepreneurs and community leaders that put their hearts and souls into the work they do for their communities.
